Often the situation is complicated by the fact that a gas meter is located too close to the main panel. To pass the PG&E inspection the electrician will need to move the main panel ~3 feet away from the gas meter.
You will also need to keep water spigots away from the panel. Three feet is the magic number. We had to relocate water pipes to satisfy this PG&E’s requirement.
